MIND MATTERS MOOD LIFT

On Mind Matters Sky Lift, guests are invited to breathe in fresh air, the beauty of nature, and reflection 30 feet in the air. An even more scenic way to get to the Rest Well Rooms without taking the Sleepy River Ride and back towards the entrance of the park, the sky lift featured QR codes on each side bar that allows you to pick from three categories on your phone: Mental Health Trivia, Meditation Moment, and Sparks of Reflection.

  • Mental Health Trivia: Answer timed multiple choice questions about various mental health topics based on information from the National Institute of Mental Health, U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), and the National Alliance on Mental Illness. At the end of the trivia session, resources are shown and encouraged to be screenshotted, including 988 and New Jersey’s 211.

  • Meditation Moment: Quiet music and breathing designed to enhance the serenity of the ride. Meditation has been studied and found to be effective in reducing anxiety and stress.

  • Sparks of Reflection: Thoughtful reflection questions that allows the guest to take time to think about how they’re feeling, how the world is effecting them, and how they can take better care of themselves. Guests can even journal what they’re thinking in a provided space under the prompt and submit it to be emailed to themselves. Parents or loved ones are encouraged to talk over reflection points with their kids.
